Hong Kong Foodie has worked with countless TV crews from many different countries that visit our fabulous city in search of the most interesting food and local scenes to showcase audience from around the world. Our expertise is not just in knowing where the good food is, we also know which eateries are more opened to being filmed, their constraints (e.g. busy hours, space issues) and which chefs are more camera-ready and who is more shy. Many local businesses are opposed to being on camera, but our relationships with them can help break that barrier. Last, but not least, we are the bridge between Hong Kong and the world. Many of the most exciting and authentic eateries are run by true local who not only do not speak English, but may not understand what foreign viewers may be looking for. We can, of course, be your translator, but more importantly, help suggest and identify features of interest to your audience to highlight. If you are producing a show or a movie around Hong Kong’s food and culture, Hong Kong Foodie can help consult with you and ensure your days of shooting here run smoothly and efficiently.

Luxury Escapes -- January 2020
We worked with Silvana from Hong Kong Food Tours Limited for filming with our Travel TV Show. Silvana was an absolute pleasure to work with sharing her favorite spots in Hong Kong so we could have an authentic experience.

Ocean Treks With Jeff Corwin -- April 2019
Cecilia from Hong Kong Foodie guided Jeff and his audience off the beaten track to explore different neighborhoods in Hong Kong, showcasing the wide variety of local eats in this city. From Hong Kong’s signature street food, curry fish balls, to traditional red bean pudding, and fresh, handmade dumplings, the Hong Kong Foodie team worked with Jeff’s team, suggested itinerary, scouted out locations, helped coordinate with different eateries and their chefs, to effectively and efficiently produce a show in the backstreets of cosmopolitan Hong Kong.
John Torode’s Asia -- November 2017
Silvana from Hong Kong Foodie brought John Torode for an in-depth culinary experience in Hong Kong. Their journey included a visit to Hong Kong’s oldest open-air wet market, Graham Street Market, in Central, where they visited and talked to vendors at different stalls. The highlight was a trip to the legendary The Peninsula Hotel for a lesson on how to make traditional dim sum, such as the shrimp dumplings (har gow). To wrap up the trip, Silvana introduced John to classic cha chaan teng (local cafe) food and drinks, including macaroni in soup, scrambled eggs and Hong Kong’s famous milk tea.
